Making Money On eBay & On Getting Married

Nothing much so far although I’ve been a bit preoccupied with ebay. No, I didn’t just discover it but I’m excited that I’ve made some progress in cashing in a few products. I’ve tried endlessly to sell my old HTC Droid Incredible through craigslist.org and the local classified section of a few newspaper website, but it was eBay that brought in results. I admit, I’m pretty new at this and I definitely hate to sell my things, but hey: money is money. You can’t really beat that.

Yay, it's sold!!!

Now, what else can I get rid of … ?

Another thing! I got married this past Friday.

Well, I’m not having my ceremony any time soon but the whole legal process has been completed. Just four more weeks before we’re able to pick up our wedding license at the courthouse. Getting married is pretty easy just not all the things that come after the event such as name changes and etc. I definitely don’t feel any different and Pete’s said the same thing.

Life So Far

I’m just going to do a quick post before I head off to bed.

These past few days have been pretty hectic. A whole lot of arguments have taken place and so have good events, too. First off, Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there. Maybe I’ll join you one day but for now, I can only wish you all the best.

I went to the shopping mall on Friday with Peter to do some Mother’s Day shopping and although we got what we were looking for, we both pretty much went home in a lot of physical pain. Who knew walking around at a mall could have us hobbling home by the end of the day … We got Mom a new Chanel lipstick, $100 worth of Bath & Body Works goodies, and an eyeliner from Clinique. (I just found out from her today that the lipstick seemed to look a bit too orange for her so that means another trip to the mall for an exchange. No!!!)

Since last Friday, I’ve been following the La Mer skincare regimen so hopefully, I’ll get a review on that soon enough once I get a few weeks into it. The ladies at Neiman Marcus were great enough to throw in a bunch of samples (hoping that I’d come back a do a La Mer haul) and I’m excited to try this brand out. I’ve heard a lot about La Mer and especially its Creme de la Mer and all its regenerative powers. After two days, I admit, the application is a pain but it ensures that the cream works, and also that I don’t end up using way more than I should. The dry patches on my face have definitely smoothed out and I find my complexion a lot more clearer/evened out. The refining scrub has almost two carats worth of diamonds in there. Sounds like a microdermabrasion to me and that is great. I’m hoping that La Mer works for me because that means I can stop my journey to finding the best skincare line for my very dry, sensitive skin … but, I’m also hoping that La Mer is nothing but too-good-to-be-true only because of the price. We shall see.

I got the Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Purifying Cleansing Oil while I was at Neiman’s and it’s working great so far. Very easy to apply and rinse off because all you do is apply a pump of the oil into your hands and massage it onto your face before rinsing off with warm water. According to the LM counter, this is a live oil so it easily rinses away and won’t cause you to break out. I’ll be the judge of that in a few weeks.

Mom, Peter, and I went out for dim sum this morning and man, it was packed. The food was okay although I wish I could be munching on something right now except for Twinkies.

Alright, I’m out and maybe I’ll be able to sleep before three tonight.
