Quickie!

I just wanted to get a quick post out. Once again, so much keeps happening. Sage came by the other day and we’re pledging to revive or basically just dedicate more time to our blogs. I’m going to start writing a blog at least once a day. It is therapeutic and something I enjoy, so why not everyday?

I’ve been renovating the apt and I painted the lower level of my townhouse-styled apartment last week. I picked up some gadgets for the office from IKEA and Brandsmart USA yesterday so hopefully we can finish painting the upper level. It’s the hallway I am worried about; it’s over 15′ high. I can already imagine all the disastrous mishaps I’ll have with a ladder and an extended paint roller. I originally had the whole nautical and beach cabana concept in mind but what can I say … things just happened. The main walls of the living and dining are a pale silver-gray. The adjoining wall of my kitchen and dining room is a lavender (I’ll explain later but it’s basically feng shui stuff) and the bathroom is an almost muted blue. I REALLY need to get that dSLR because I hate the current one that I have and I don’t even feel like taking photos with them. I love making my posts vivid and full of photos so I’m going to work on that for you guys. I’ll clean up the house after tonight and take some photos before the new week begins during the day. All I can say is that this place looks spectacular. It stills needs a lot of TLC but I’m feeling the pride!

Anyway, I somehow forgot that IKEA lets kids eat for free on Tuesdays so it was a pleasant surprise yesterday. I tried their stuffed salmon and it was really good. I love the medallions, you know, the broccoli looking cakes made of broccoli and cheese, I presume. I think I saw them in the food section, but I was already on my way out and wanted to get home asap. I love going to IKEA because I feel like I get a whole lot of bang for my buck, I love their food, and because I love the constant flow of inspiration there. I can’t say I really trust to buy a couch or a dining table from them just because of quality reasons, but if you’re on a budget it’s definitely the place for you. I’m doing a lot of decorating so for the little things, like 20 photo frames, it’s worth it.

Here’s a photo of Jackson and Peter when we were in the dining area:

I love the Lingon Berry drink (bottom right) and the medallions ( bottom left and right).

I hope you all have been having a great week and I’ll be posting a great album of my recent horseback riding trip in the Cohutta wilderness tomorrow.

Life Lately

Just doing a mask pack right now and I’m about to go work out downstairs for about two hours. Everything has been well lately. I bought a car on my birthday (I will definitely post photos, it’s just that the weather has been so funky lately). Peter and I signed for a beautiful, black 2013 Kia Soul on the 21st right after he got his license. We were supposed to get the Sorento but because we were new car buyers, there was somehow a $20K limit for our first car. We still ended up spending over $20K anyway. I’ll be doing a review of the car in a month or so after I get a fair opinion of it. So far, we love our car and everyone does, too!

I got all A’s for my midterms (that’s five, I took one final for a half-term course). I seem to have the time management finally down now. I can really enjoy my off days and not stress about getting my work in on time since everything has been managed. I spent yesterday watching the Korean TV drama, “You’re Beautiful”. There are a lot of dramas that I probably won’t like but I am glad that I found this one. It’s from 2009 and it’s about a sister(nun)-in-training who has to pretend to be her twin brother because he had a bad plastic surgery incident. Her brother was due to sign a contract to be in the biggest boy idol group so she had to step in for him.

I recently got some new cosmetics so that’s another post there. I’m also thinking about writing another post on how to buy a new car. I think that will be very helpful to a lot of readers. :)

My birthday was February 21st. I woke up at 6:30 AM to get ready because Peter had to test for his driving license at 10 AM. We got there around 9 AM and left at 11 AM. He tricked me by saying that he didn’t pass it but of course he did. He got a 95, which was great. We went to eat and then ate the birthday cake that Peter’s dad and grandpa got me. Afterwards, Peter, his grandpa, Jackson, and I went to pick up my strawberry shortcake birthday cake from Joli Kobe and dropped it off at the house. We then went to Ed Voyles Kia of Chamblee dealership. We got there around 2 PM and didn’t leave until 7 PM. We ended up just going home and sleeping. I was supposed to wear my birthday outfit but since we ran out of time and were so tired, I ended up celebrating my birthday for another day.

I want to keep writing but I’ll have to continue this later. I have to do some research and workout soon. I have my first dermatologist appointment (another blog post!) and I hope that it goes well so I can finally have beautiful and nearly flawless skin.

Have a great weekend everyone!
