It’s the first week since school has ended, without any exams, classes, or presentations to worry about. I am feeling so refreshed already and I am ready to just relax and take it easy for the whole summer. Of course, I have a summer internship and my regular part-time job to attend to but those are actually not so stressful for me. Nothing compared to school, you know.
Plans for the Summer
Today, I am just going to sit around, play The Sims 4 all day, water the plants, and hopefully finish a paper I need in order to finish creating my own major. I am feeling much more well-rested and I don’t even have dark eyes circles anymore. I don’t have much planned for the summer other than the trip to Florida in August. I am hoping to get a lot of reading done and maybe lose ten pounds to be in my best bikini body lol.
Ugh, I have to go and get a new keyboard soon. I have a K800 from Logitech but somewhere along the way, I am missing my space key. I could type on other devices but I love my desktop. Speaking of desktops, I am excited to get a new one in August/September. It’s about time and I am going to get a beast of a commercial machine so I won’t have to replace for another seven years! (Wow, seven years …. I can’t believe it’s made it for this long.) It’s a great machine and I will probably convert it into a server once I get the new one.
Switching to Mac …?
I have done a lot of thinking and perhaps I will be getting a mac again. I’m still on the fence but I am definitely considering it. I’m waiting for the new lineup of iMacs to come out. I don’t need the retina display so it’ll be in the fall before the other iMacs get updated. I still love the PC experience so with the beast of the hardware provided by Apple, I’ll still be running bootcamp and enjoying my Windows experience. My budget is about $3K so I got to find something that works well and for a long time.
Of course, I could just build a new desktop or just get any stock Alienware desktop and be set, but I really do want to change up my whole set up. Well, I’ll post an update on what I got in the fall so be on the look out!
Gardening
I’m still getting the hang of gardening but I love my sago palm for a variety of reasons: bragging rights since no one else in my neighborhood has one, it’s unique and pretty, and because it has given me five new pups (baby palms). I came with the house but I’ve really become quite fond of it. I can’t wait to see it progress and grow.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and I will update soon.
